Eri Morita was born in Kumamoto, Japan and grew up in Tokyo. After college, she moved to New York City to study photography at International Center of Photography. She went on to work as an editorial photographer for magazines including W, Vogue Bambino, Vogue Nippon, Newsweek, Seventeen, Jane, Cosmo girl, YM, Black Book, Tokion, Der Spiegel among others.
Eri left New York in 2005 and explored Hawaii, Tokyo, Shanghai and Los Angeles. Currently she lives and works in Encinitas, CA, with her husband, daughter, a family of skunks, a mound of gophers and 2 cats, Julius and Luna.
